Senior Dental Nurse and Treatment Co-ordinator
GDC no 107837
I joined the practice in 1990 originally as a receptionist. I thoroughly enjoyed the dental surgery environment so decided to train as a dental nurse and in 1993 I gained my qualification.
I furthered my education in dental radiography and gained my qualification in 1997. This enables me to take dental x-rays and organise and monitor our quality assurance programme when x-rays are taken. I went back to the classroom in 1998 and studied oral health promotion. I really enjoyed this course as it took me out into the community from the local mother and toddler groups, to life skills groups for adults with learning difficulties.
In 2001 I achieved my qualification as a dental nurse assessor. I am now the treatment co-ordinator for our practice, utilising the experience I have gained over the past 23 years, which enables me to give our patients the best possible care and attention.
I am married with two children and outside work we enjoy spending family time together whether it be a movie night or out and about cycling.
